We have secured a limited number of rooms at the Hotel La Fonda (http://www.lafondasantafe.com/), which we can arrange for a discounted rate. La Fonda is not only one of the top hotels in Santa Fe, but it is also situated on the Plaza, just steps away from all wedding centered events.
La Fonda is interesting for other reasons as well: it is the site of the first hotel in Santa Fe, once called the Alarid House and owned by my direct line ancestor. Indeed, our family sold the property shortly after the conclusion of the U.S. Mexican War, but there are still exhibits inside of La Fonda celebrating it's history.
In addition, the hotel also houses a Cantina that will be the location of a meet and greet the night before the wedding. On top of that, it has become something of a "home base" for the bride and her family!
As of now, we have 10 rooms, which we will offer on a first come, first serve basis. The normal rate is between $199-$249 for a standard room, with suites usually being a little bit higher. We have secured the rate of $175 a night, which is not an amazing deal but is certainly the best price you will find for this hotel.
