Hey All,
Turns out there are more rooms held for us at La Fonda than we thought, so you still have a chance to get one there if you act soon. FYI, all rooms at La Fonda that we have not secured by the June 15 will be released, so get on it if you are interested in staying there! Regardless, there are still several options downtown that should continue to be available! Here are a few...
1) El Dorado Hotel - Very close to the level of La Fonda in both luxury and price, El Dorado is only a few blocks from the plaza. We don't have arrangements with them, but you can find better rates with them online than if you call.

2) Garett's Desert Inn - Think of this as the Holiday Inn of downtown: lower price, good location, average quality. We do have arrangements with them: $119 for a King or two Double Beds, $109 for a Queen Bed. In truth, this is just a standard discount, but they don't go lower because of the location. In the end, as far as hotels, the price won't get much better and it makes a lot of sense in many ways. It's not likely you will be in the room most of the time. Just say you are attending the Bock Alarid Wedding when you call.

3) Inn on the Paseo - No arrangements, but very close and somewhere in the middle between Garret's and La Fonda on the price. The word is that the rooms are small, but the place is very clean and close to the plaza.

More on hotel arrangements...
Hey All,
Just to let everyone know, we are happy to help you find someone to room with if you are coming solo. In fact, it looks like many people will be coming solo so there should be a number of you who might want to double up. Anyone interested in finding a person to share a room with should contact me or Sheila.
As with all things, suffice it to say that the sooner the better...
Now, does anyone have any questions for us? If so, please don't hesitate to ask here, and I will be happy to answer.
Best,
Michael

Limited Number of Rooms Available at La Fonda!
Hey All,
We have secured a limited number of rooms at the Hotel La Fonda (http://www.lafondasantafe.com/), which we can arrange for a discounted rate. La Fonda is not only one of the top hotels in Santa Fe, but it is also situated on the Plaza, just steps away from all wedding centered events.
La Fonda is interesting for other reasons as well: it is the site of the first hotel in Santa Fe, once called the Alarid House and owned by my direct line ancestor. Indeed, our family sold the property shortly after the conclusion of the U.S. Mexican War, but there are still exhibits inside of La Fonda celebrating it's history.
In addition, the hotel also houses a Cantina that will be the location of a meet and greet the night before the wedding. On top of that, it has become something of a "home base" for the bride and her family!
As of now, we have 10 rooms, which we will offer on a first come, first serve basis. The normal rate is between $199-$249 for a standard room, with suites usually being a little bit higher. We have secured the rate of $175 a night, which is not an amazing deal but is certainly the best price you will find for this hotel. If you are interested in securing one of these rooms, please contact either me or Sheila.
